The LSAT is a standardized test and hence the score is normalized score. The raw score is converted into a scale score which varies from 120 to 180. Only Logical Reasoning, Analytical resoning and reading comprehension sections are scored. The essay section and experimental section go unscored.
Most colleges prefer a score above 170 as a good score and the application candidate has a good chance to get into the school he/she would apply for.
The scores can be cancelled with in six days after. LSAC releases no core but informs the law schools that you have attended the exam.
The writing sample section is unscored, however the school gets to read the written text of your essay.
