About LSAT

LSAT is required by law schools to admit students to Law programs in the United States, Canada and India among many other countries. LSAT tests verbal and analytical ability that school correlate with a student’s aptitude for extensive and critical reading in law school.

The LSAT is in existence since 1948 and the current format is practice since 1991.  In order to practice law in the United States, a student must be a US Law School graduate. Therefore, LSAT is very important towards this.

LSAT is conducted by LSAC(Law School Admission Council).

LSAT is a required by majority of  Law schools as screening criteria for application. As strong LSAT score gives a higher chance of admission to the student. Many Universities outside USA and Canada  are now adapting LSAT for their admission process.

There is a modified LSAT admission test specifically for Indian students applying to Law colleges in INDIA.
